Proprietors Blend: A Tradition Worth Preserving

Some blends are special because of the people and history behind them. Proprietors Blend is one of those blends. Created by the late Emmitt Welborn, original Owner of Matchbox Cigars & Pipes, now The Cigar Shop- Aberdeen. Emmitt was an avid Pipe Smoker and also the Force behind opening the very First Cigar and Pipe shop in the Sandhills back in 1996. This custom blend represents the knowledge and passion that helped shape all of The Cigar Shop’s pipe tobacco offerings. For pipe enthusiasts who appreciate tobacconist heritage and the personal touch of a shop-developed blend, Proprietors offers a connection to that tradition.

It's a medium blend with a smooth, pleasant character is meant to be something you can smoke All- DAY! One detail that sets Matchbox blend apart, is its noted raspberry character and sweet aroma. Those fruity, sweet notes offer a different direction for pipe smokers who enjoy aromatic tobacco and appreciate the sensory experience that comes
with it.

For a house blend with a story that reaches beyond the ordinary, meet Relativity. Created exclusively for The Cigar Shop by its Director of Operations Dwight Rickard, and Long time friend of Emmitt and Ute Welborn. Relativity was developed with the goal of recreating the style of pipe tobacco associated with Albert Einstein’s favorite smoke. It’s a blend with a little history, a little curiosity, and a name that invites conversation.

Why explore it? It has that Einstein-inspired concept and smooth-smoking character make it a distinctive addition to the house-blend collection.
